The John Overstreet House is an 1860's era farm house now located in the Pioneer Florida Museum & Village in Dade City, Florida. It is one of the oldest wood frame structures still standing in Pasco County. The kitchen was separated from the main house by a breezeway to keep the heat from cooking there and away from the main structure. The kitchen was also separated fromthe main house in case a fire started there. This is where the servants ate.

The John Overstreet House is an 1860's era farm house now located in the Pioneer Florida Museum & Village in Dade City, Florida. It is one of the oldest wood frame structures still standing in Pasco County. The table has been set as it would be for the evening meal.

Heat And Air By Nature

This is a first grade classroom in the Lacoochee Schol House built in 1926 in Lacoochee, Florida. It was saved from demolition in 1976 and moved to the grounds of the Pioneer Florida Museum & Village in Dade City, Florida. Open doors and windows in the summer and a wood stove in the winter, there was no central heat and air conditioning back then.

Rebuilt in 1903 for $500.00 after it was destroyed by fire, the Enterprise Methodist Church in Enterprise, Florida had been originally built in 1878. It was moved in 1977 to the Pioneer Florida Museum & Village in Dade City, Florida and contains the original walls, pews, floor, ceiling, and heating stove

House Organ

Rebuilt in 1903 for $500.00 after it was destroyed by fire, the Enterprise Methodist Church in Enterprise, Florida had been originally built in 1878. It was moved in 1977 to the Pioneer Florida Museum & Village in Dade City, Florida and contains the original walls, pews, floor, ceiling, and heating stove. This is one of two identical organs at the back of the church flanking the entry door.
