The white faced capuchin monkey (cebus capucinus) is a medium sized new world monkey found in  many different types of forests of Central America and the extreme northwestern South America. It measures from 13.2" to 17.8" in length, not including their prehensile tail which can measure up to 21.7" long.

Often know as the organ grinder monkey, it is highly intelligent and has been trained to assist paraplegics. Cebus capucinus uses tools as weapons and to get food, and they rub plants and some insects, like ants, on their bodies as a possible insect repellent.

Capuchins, who have been known to live over 44 years, live in mixed sex troops of an average of sixteen adults, and sometimes as many as forty. They forage as a troop and feed mainly on fruit and plant material, but also eat insects and small animals.
