A Hunt for Breakfast DA

This Carolina wren looked all over this stump for something to eat. The carolina wren (thryothorus ludovicialanis) can be found east of the Mississippi River in the United States, and along the gulf coast states down into eastern Mexico. It likes wooded forest areas, ravines, lowland cypress swamps. bottomland woods, and neighborhoods with dense vegetation where it moves through low brush areas choked with vines, bushes and brush piles

This small, chunky songbird can also be seen going up and down treet trunks in search or insects, spiders and fruit that make up the bulk of its diet. It also occassionally eats lizards, frogs and snakes..
