Salt Marsh Stream BW
This is a view from the Levy County, Florida, Shell Mound Park in the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge. The park has a large shell bearing archeological site with a 20' high shell mound around a central plaza which has been termed a civic-ceremonial center.
The refuge is located in southeastern Dixie County and northwest Levy County on the west coast of Florida and covers 53,000 acres including 20 miles of the Suwannee River estuary and 20 miles of coastline. It is one of the largest undeveloped river delta systems in the United States.

Pitt Spring is located seven miles west of US 231 off Florida State Road 20 and is accessible by car, canoe or kayak.The ten acre recreation area contains Pitt and Sylvan Spring and a boardwalk and trails.
The combined flow of the Sylvan Springs group, which includes Pitt Spring, is classified as second magnitude and is one of eleven springs or springs groups along the Econfina Creek and is part of the Econfina Creek Water Management Area.
