Freshwater Marsh

The great white egret (ardea alba) or great egret can be found in most of the freshwater and saltwater marshes of the tropical, subtropical and temperate regions around the world.  You can find it in North, Central, and South America, from lower Canada to Argentina. Aisle of Palms

Near the waterfront in St. Petersburg, Florida looking south toward downtown, the line of palms is what caught my eye. It reminded me of many of the pictures on the penny postcards that used to be so prevalent in the tourist shops in Florida.
